Breast Reduction Turkey

LARGE BREASTS AND WHAT ARE THE PROBLEMS THEY MAY CAUSE?

Breast Reduction Turkey Growth in the dimension of breasts may occur due to genetic factors, pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight gain, or metabolic diseases as well.

Women with large breasts can have pain in neck, shoulder, back and low back due to the weight on the vertebrae and muscular system. These problems become more evident in the advancing ages. Redness and itchiness complaints (dermatitis) may arise in the fold area of the breasts and in the shoulder area where straps of the bra contact with the skin.

Women with large breasts can be adversely affected from the point of psychosocial development during and after adolescence. It may cause unconfident psychology, social isolation and restriction in physical activities.

As a general rule, minors under 18 years old are not operated. However, in condition of “virginal hypertrophy” that results in uncontrolled growth of breasts, intervention can be performed at the early ages.

SURGERY DETAILS

HOW IS PERIOPERATIVE AND POSTOPERATIVE PERIOD OF BREAST REDUCTION SURGERY?

Breast Reduction Turkey On the day of surgery, necessary measurements and drawings are made. The operation takes 2-3 hours under general anesthesia. The duration extends according to the breast size. Drain is inserted during the surgery. The drain is removed 1-2 days after the surgery. Usually a day of hospitalization is needed. After the surgery, a specific bra-corset is worn. After the 4th week, soft sport bra without underwire is started to be used. A week later the individual can turn back to the social life. For 4 weeks, no sport should be done except walking and no heavy things should be lifted; it should be especially avoided from fast and forcing arm movements. At the end of 6th week, sports activities can be done. The recovery period of bruises and swelling in the breast tissue takes 1-3 months to get the desired appearance. Within 6-8 months, the breasts get the final appearance.

DOES PAIN ARISE AFTER THE SURGERY?

Not much pain is expected after the breast reduction surgery. If pain is felt, it can easily be relieved with painkillers.

DO BREASTFEEDING FUNCTION LOSS AND SENSORY LOSS OCCUR AFTER THE SURGERY?

Today's techniques do not damage the breastfeeding function after the surgery. But even if low, there is such a risk.

Postoperative sensory loss may be temporary or rarely permanent, depending on the size of the breast tissue.

HOW IS THE SCAR OF THE BREAST REDUCTION SURGERY?

Depending on the technique used in breast reduction surgery, the scar may be in round form on the nipple, in vertical form in the midline of breast and also may be in the line of breast fold. Mostly, the scars become hardly visible within a few years and take a color which is similar with the color of the skin. Nonetheless, wound healing varies from person to person. In very rare cases, excessive wound healing (keloid, hypertrophic scar) may occur.
